Polyformes Ltd is the UK's leading innovative fabricator and converter of Polyethylene Foam. In 1999, the company embarked on the ambitious project of having their mainstream commercial software completely rewritten from scratch. It was concluded that any off-the-shelf package would not provide the required facilities.
POPS (Polyformes Order Processing System) handles all commercial transactions from Enquiry through Quotation, Job Costing, Order, Delivery and Invoice. A separate module manages Material Allocations, Job Routing and all other stock control facilities. A comprehensive Report suite is available to top management that provides immediate information and answers in key business areas. The applications are multi-user with about 20 concurrent workstations and the potential for at least double as the company continues to grow.
The screen shot to the right highlights the imaginative Yield Calculator that allows the optimisation of material usage which has resulted in substantial savings to the company.
